Testimonials

Greta has been based here for two years now, so I have got to know her pretty well. I have seen first hand her work ethic and the amount of thought and dedication she puts in to the schooling of horses in her care. Training Greta is great fun; she is an exceptional student, always wanting to improve and learn. She thoroughly deserves all of the success that I’m sure will come her way.

Greta has ridden my horses for two years, all homebred. She has taken one from BE90 up to Novice and started several out on their eventing careers up to BE100. She is a very competent, competitive and conscientious rider, but also willing to work hard and train the horses to their abilities. She has also helped with backing a couple and riding them away.

When you engage Greta to produce a young horse for you she delivers much more than her gifts and expertise as a rider. Thoughtful, honest and communicative, I feel as if she is as invested as I am in my horse gaining a good education while keeping a happy disposition. She doesn't rush, provides a good variety of experience and cares for her schooling liveries as if they were her own.

I have a share in a young horse, 'Romeo', with Greta. This works really well for me. She is very good at communicating, keeping me up to date with how he is doing and discussing our event plans. I visit the yard regularly and travel to events with the team. I always feel closely involved with what happens and enjoy getting stuck in myself. Greta is a lovely, likeable and straightforward person, a super rider and young professional trying very hard to set up her own eventing enterprise. She has lots of support from family, friends and her trainers. She has achieved an awful lot already and I think she has a very bright future ahead of her in the sport. I am particularly keen to support young upcoming event riders who need a helping hand and Greta is, in my opinion, very deserving of investment to help her reach her goals.

I have had the pleasure of spending a huge amount of time with Greta and her various horses over the past few years, before her move to Rodney Powell's. She is very dedicated, a very talented jockey and a sponge when you are teaching her - she always wants to improve and strives for the best results. Greta has a great empathy with her horses, and her hard work and dedication paid off when she finished second in the Under 25s at Bramham in 2022, becoming the British Under 25 Champion, a title I feel she richly deserves. I would have no hesitation in sending a horse to Greta to produce as I know they would be done correctly and not over-produced.

Greta is a great teacher who seamlessly combines learning with having fun. She inspires confidence and bravery in young children - even when they are on naughty ponies. She's also blessed with an ability to make quite complex concepts like going in an outline and cantering on the right let understandable to a nine-year-old!

Greta is very professional in her approach to planning and preparing for the event season, providing fantastic feedback following a competition. Together with a great team behind her, I have  no doubt that she will achieve great success in the future.

My daughter and I have lessons with Greta both at home and at different venues. She is extremely knowledgeable, observant to the horse and rider combination and able to make quick and successful adjustments to help them develop. She is a great confidence giver but also sympathetically pushes us out of our comfort zones to progress. She has given me some great advice on finding the right bit and nutrition to help build and strengthen a young horse. I would highly recommend Greta if you are looking for a forward thinking, dynamic coach.
